Oceanographic Signals
We are experienced in identifying oceanographic signals on land and ocean-bottom seismometers and seafloor pressure sensors. In fact, we were the first to identify oceanic internal waves on onshore seismometers (Shaddox et al., 2021) by comparing seismic observations to internal wave detections in oceanographic and satellite data. Internal waves are a huge problem for offshore infrastructure, and we have worked to enhance the detection of oceanic internal waves on seafloor instrumentation.
